VIGILENT Solutions™ is a comprehensive disaster-preparedness and incident-management system that provides maximum situation awareness and multi-agency information sharing to match a new generation of threats and capabilities.
Unlike other incident-management systems, VIGILENT Solutions gives authorities the ability to detect, monitor and manage all aspects of complex emergency situations and distribute vital data to key actors in real time. The system specifically provides for interoperable communications and data-sharing between public safety and health organizations—a major breakthrough that could help save many lives in an emergency.
The VIGILENT Solutions' system is modular and fully interoperable with all types of software and hardware, making it highly adaptable to each customer’s needs. The VIGILENT Solutions' modules include:
- Critical Care Tracking (CCT™) constantly monitors and shares information about the status of emergency medical facilities such as hospital beds, emergency rooms, ambulances, medical specialists, specialized equipment and pharmaceutical stockpiles. CCT is currently the hospital-bypass system for Illinois, Northern Virginia and Central Florida.
- MedSight™ continuously collects, analyzes and displays health data from a wide variety of sources to identify disease outbreaks and speed medical response.
- CommandSight™ enables users to see the location and status of emergency responders on an electronic map, disseminate data to the right people, and keep track of response activities in line with National Incident Management System (NIMS) guidelines.
SensorSight™ is a new feature being developed to continuously collect, analyze and display data from field sensors to provide early warning of chemical and biological hazards.
Each VIGILENT Solutions' module incorporates robust, rules-based notification and smart routing capabilities, enabling instant communications to all types of communications devices: telephones, radios, pagers, PDAs and fixed or mobile computers.
VIGILENT Solutions is in compliance with and enhances the functionality of the U.S. government’s Health Alert Network (HAN) and National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS). It also meets or exceeds several of the critical capacity requirements established for the states by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
